Do we have rights to control others? I am not talking about a stranger here but the loved ones. We may think that we can control others based on what we think is right. To me this seems to be bit erratic.
End of the day, one should control himself/herself in order to influence others by his/her actions. Just by imposing our thoughts on others would not make a difference. One should realize what is good, what is truth, what is right thing to do. These things cannot be taught by the words but by the experiences.
Then, How will a child learn what is right?
We need to live up to our principles to influence our kids. If we don't do the right things, then obviously kids are going to learn from you. After all, we will be the first role model for them.
